Windows 98, ME, XP Setup Instructions

1. Click Start, select Run…, then type “inetwiz.exe” in the Open dialog box. Click the OK button. When the Internet Connection Wizard appears, select Connect using my phone line. Click Next.
2. Select Create a new dial-up connection. Click Next.
3. Type your local NTInet access number into the field provided under the Telephone number heading, then click on the Use area code and dialing rules check box to uncheck it. Click Next.
4. Type your Username (your email address) and Password in the fields provided. Double-check that the letters are entered in lower case and the characters have no spaces between them. Click Next.
5. Type NTInet in the Name Field. Click Next.
6. To set up your email account , Select Yes. Click Next.
7. Select Create a new Internet mail account. Click Next.
8. Type your name in the Display name field. Your first name is fine, but it is appropriate to use your full name here. Click Next.
9. Type your E-mail address in the field provided. Again, this needs to be in small letters, and must have no spaces between any characters. Type mail.ntinet.com in the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server and smtp.ntinet.com in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field. Click Next.
10. Type your username and password in the field provided. Click Next.
11. Click Finish.

You are now ready to connect to the Internet! However, there are a couple more steps to finish setting up email. Read on:

Open Outlook Express, when open, click the Tools menu, and select Accounts, then click the properties button.

Click on the Mail tab, click on your NTInet mail account listed (mail.ntinet.com), then click the Properties button on the right.

Now click on the servers tab. At the bottom of this window. Put a check mark in the box next to “My server requires authentication”. Click OK , then click Close.

That’s it! You’re ready to surf the web and send and receive e-mail!
